“Fruit Cake has been our Business for over 50 Years

This recipe was developed by us. We tested all leading brands with consumers to evaluate what they liked and did not like. Using this knowledge, we set out to develop a fruit cake that we believe is a winner.

We have been baking & making Fruit Cake for over 50 years as did My Father before me., Developing and producing products for both the Retail and foodservice markets This venture is an extension in our life to satisfy the need of changing retail markets towards online sales with quality products that are all American. ‍ ‍

Settlers Bakery’s Boiled Fruit pudding ( plum pudding) - This is an epic styled - English Plum Pudding - Simply is a Fruit Cake that is boiled instead of baked. It is made from scratch in our bakery, all ingredients are sourced in the USA. It is a rich moist dessert, that is full of fruit that has been boiled in a calico cloth reminiscent of the way it was in past history. “Only needs reheating”

We take Raisins, Zante currants and Cherries and marinade them in Rum, Brandy and Wine for 24 hours before manufacturing. Then using a special blend of spices and ingredients we mix the products using our own formulated manufacturing method. The Patriot Cake is garnished with fresh Pecan halves, Real Glace Cherries & Pineapple, then slow baked to enhance all flavors. After baking it is brushed with Apricot Glaze

Tips

For best cutting use a thin damp serrated knife, dip the knife in water if cake starts sticking.

A cold cake will cut better than a warm one.

After opening it is best to keep the cake in the container it came in or any closed container.

To keep the cake for extended periods it is best to keep refrigerated.

The cake will freeze well for up to 12 Months.
